Music Ministry offers many opportunities to those who choose to share their time and musical talents with the church. Our music ensembles prepare music to enhance the liturgy and provide musical worship experience. We encourage members of the congregation to join us in the worship. We welcome you to join us for rehearsals.

Chancel Choir

This choir offered to adults of all ages and voices rehearses every Wednesday night from 6:30pm until 8:00pm. The Chancel Choirs sings a variety of styles ranging from chant to modern classics for the 9:00am Sunday Mass. We currently worship with the Ritual Songs hymnal; however we will be using Breaking Break beginning in Advent. Instrumentalists are also welcome to join this group. Rehearsals begin Wednesday, August 25^th.

Project Praise

This ensemble is offered to students in grades 6 through 12 both vocalist and instrumentalists. Project Praise provides Contemporary Christian music for the 11:00am Sunday Mass. Rehearsals for t project Praise begin on Wednesday, Sept. 8^th from 6:00pm until 7:00pm. We currently have four vocalists, drummer, bassist, two guitars, and a keyboardist.

Junior Choir

This choir is offered to students in grades 1 through 5 and meets Wednesday evenings at 5:15pm. Students learn age appropriate music and sing once a month at the 9:00am Sunday Mass. Rehearsals for this group will not begin until October.

Guest Musicians

St. Jude Music Ministry invites guest musicians to join the ensembles throughout the year. Christmas and Easter always feature guest musicians as well as ordinary Sundays. If you would like to join us for a Sunday please contact Nick at the e-mail address at the bottom of this page.

St. Jude the Apostle Church Concert Series

For the first time St. Jude the Apostle Church will be offering a four part concert series for the 2010-2011 seasons. This series will feature ensembles and soloists from around the Northeast. The schedule for the upcoming season will be posted in the beginning of September.
